Sr Database Research Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Performance Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with product to understand customer needs related to data warehouse cost and performance
• Research parameters affecting database performance and propose improvements to products
• Create prototypes for algorithms to enhance database performance and cost

Required Qualifications:

• Significant experience in delivering innovative improvements to analytical databases or a PhD in Database systems with relevant experience
• Extensive experience in database performance tuning, including caching and dynamic scaling
• Passion for researching parameters affecting database performance and conducting methodical experiments
• Experience in rapid prototyping, MVP development, and mentoring engineers in database performance knowledge
• Familiarity with SQL, databases, data warehouses, big data processing tools, and cloud technologies
