Coding Educator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Educator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop curriculum and training handbooks, deliver presentations to various stakeholders
• Collaborate with coding staff, provide coding education, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
• Research coding questions, update coders on coding changes, and assist with special projects

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
• 5-10 years of educational experience in a facility or consulting setting
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Records Management / Medical Coding or Equivalent Experience
• Extensive acute-care coding knowledge and experience in small, mid-size, and large hospitals
• Hold at least one of the following certifications: CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
