Director Actuarial Science

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Actuarial Science with preferred Medicare Part D experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accountable for high-quality output from functional areas such as IBNR, rate advocacy, forecasting/budgeting, and financial risk modeling
• Lead a team of actuaries, develop internal statistical models, and ensure compliance with Actuarial Standards of Practice
• Identify and lead opportunities to drive completion of corporate goals, coordinate with key stakeholders, and oversee mentorship programs for analysts

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of decision support, financial analysis, or actuarial experience
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience
• Active Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation required; Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation preferred
• Strong database (SAS or Access) experience preferred; Managed Care or healthcare experience preferred
