General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a General Counsel to lead its legal and compliance departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy and provide legal advice to the executive team
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and oversee internal policies to mitigate legal risks
• Manage litigation processes and review, draft, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in any of the 48 contiguous states
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a legal role, with a focus on corporate law and regulatory compliance
• Experience in venture or private equity-backed companies
• Proven experience in managing complex legal issues and leading a legal department
