GIS Architect

Job Summary

A company is looking for a GIS Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced geospatial system infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the GIS technical lead, guiding the design and development of geospatial system architectures
• Develop system hardware specifications, design strategies, and implementation plans for enterprise GIS solutions
• Collaborate with Agency IT teams to ensure solutions align with organizational policies and comply with CI/CD processes

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Computer Science, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience
• 12+ years of experience designing complex architectures and applications, with at least 10 years in geospatial systems
• Experience with IT architecting, including documentation, configuration management, and version control
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes
• Proficiency with the ESRI Enterprise platform
