Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of combat sports writers; assign and edit stories
• Develop content plans for the sport on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for major initiatives and engage in weekly brainstorming sessions for content ideas

Required Qualifications:

• At least seven years of experience in digital sports media/journalism
• Deep knowledge of combat sports space, especially top MMA fighters and other newsmakers
• Strong news sense and AP style knowledge
• Ability to write SEO- and social-friendly headlines
• Experience managing reporters and developing story angles
