SVP Property Underwriting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a SVP, Property Underwriting to oversee the underwriting strategy for the commercial property risk portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of underwriters to drive production growth and maintain risk exposure
• Monitor insurance portfolio performance and implement corrective actions to ensure profitability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new commercial insurance programs

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field; MBA or CPCU preferred
• Minimum of 10-15 years of commercial underwriting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and policy language
• Experience in reinsurance, including familiarity with treaties and negotiations
• Proven track record in managing complex portfolios and optimizing performance
